UKKOR

The United Kingdom Knee Osteotomy Registry (UKKOR) is the first of it’s kind in the world. Established in 2014, UKKOR is a national registry, dedicated to collecting outcome data from knee osteotomy patients.

A registry is a way to collect large datasets for all patients who undergo a particular operation. Registries have been used for many years to collect information on frequently performed operations, such as hip and knee replacements. It’s only recently that other operations have benefitted from the same approach to data collection.

If you have been listed for surgery then you may be asked to participate in UKKOR. Participation will allow you to monitor your own clinical progress following surgery and confirm if your aspirations have been met. The data collected at a national level will be analysed to quantify the success of knee osteotomies according to patient centred outcomes. Surgical techniques will be modified to continually drive quality improvement for future patients.

Help us to prove that your knee osteotomy is a success.

Did you know that:
  • Our results have shown this surgery works well in both elderly, and patients with a high BMI.
  • Our results have shown how safe and reproducible Osteotomy surgery is.
  • Our results have shown that patients rate Osteotomy higher than a similar group would for a total knee replacement.
  • UKKOR results show significant success in patients who otherwise would be offered no treatment due to relatively young age or early stage of arthritis.
